The District Attorney’s Office seeks to protect the children, families and members of the communities of Webb and Zapata Counties. The District Attorney’s Office will strive to seek justice for victims and will hold violators of the law responsible. The District Attorney’s Office will strive to maintain a high level of accountability, professionalism and integrity when carrying out its duties. The duty of the District Attorney’s Office is not to convict, but to see that justice is done. It will not suppress facts or secrete witnesses capable of establishing the innocence of the accused.
